Thanks for the link.

Skid plates on Sport 4x4s...

Fender flares only on Sport models...interesting...guess just trying to cut costs there...

Bucket seats in all Sports...

Do not care for the 5-spoke wheels at all...

Good to see disc all around...finally.

Ya disc breaks FTW

Will make a swap easier now HAHAH

Noticed also no more chrome tow hooks or chrome running boards, and I don't think I saw chrome bumper either

Will be interesting to see the MPG for the 2.3 and 4.0 (not currently listed)
the XL 2.3 comes standard with 2o gallon tank

The Bright Trim group has the chrome running boards. With the new bumpers just being that plastic cover, I am not surprised to see the chrome bumpers go.

Thought about trading up to a new one but unfortunately Ford don't offer my truck anymore. Will wait and see if the rear discs can be swapped though. Hopefully cheaper than the SSB kit.

Probably will be a direct swap unlike the explorer no cutting the perches and welding them

I am very curious if those will be swappable. Are they still using the 7.5 axle? Cause if they really wanted to be cheap they could just use expy axles on the Ranger...

I wonder if the mounts and calipers would be a direct bolt on.

Maybe use the 7.5 in 2wd models except for the sport 2wd. Use 8.8 for everything else is what I would guess. Or just cut out the 7.5 altogether and use 8.8 in everything.

I doubt it cause you have the backing plate you would have to swap. Only way to get it off is to take the axle shaft out

Unless the mounts and calipers can be adapted easily for the backing plates then that would be a huge WIN for everyone

interesting....
i dont like: no more FX4

i do like: standard power group on Sport, standard leather steering wheel on sport, front disc and rear disc with ABS, skidplates on Sport, mud flaps on Sport, black step bars on Sport

as you can tell, i like the sport so with this proposal of no more FX4, that would make Sport the highest up and nicest of the reamaining models, right?

i believe it would be:
1 sport
2 XLT
3 XL

Meh XL is just a Fleet truck...

Mud flaps?? Most just take them off...if you get a truck without them, I will give you mine...

I don't know what the rules are in Ontario, but in the US there are states where it's illegal not to have mudflaps. Even if it isn't illegal, it sucks for the guy driving behind a truck that doesn't have them.

Yea, probably illegal here in California, since we are the strictest among the states. But not too many po-po are aware of the mudflap rule. Plus here they like to ticket for tint more than anything.
