I was looking on ebay for a replacement taillight set when I found these. I think they're a little too expensive for me but thought they might look cool. It says they're plug and play. Click-> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-09...Q5fAccessories | | Register and never see these ads again. | | |

El-cheapo Chinese LEDs with no voltage protection. They can safety handle about 15ma without overheating.

There are better ones out there, but I looked at a set too, that's where I am going to go with my taillights, pick up a truck mag you can find em in there all day. They aren't cheap but they work great from the few trucks I've seen them on.

You can do a full superflux swap for about the same price and get tail lights that are WAY better than these.

Check out Tys4x4 (I think that is his s/n) truck. He has them. IIRC he had the same ones but with the red lenses and night shaded them and then broke one so bought a set of the black ones and night shaded them too.

I have the "smoked" ones on my truck and love them. I was a little worried about them looking to ricey, but my truck is silver & they just blend into it. They are very bright (almost annoyingly so.) They come in clear (like the ones you linked to,) smoked and red. They are expensive and I was debating weather I should get these or convert some of the '07 tails with LED bulbs. Since I have an '01, I would have had to get the newer tails plus the LED conversion bulbs which makes that upgrade about the same price... And I wanted something a little different. The '07 tails look sweet, but everyone has them. If you want I could get some pics...

The wattage drawn is way too high and your creating even more heat that will ruin the already cheap low current LEDs. Quote:

Chad | You must have overly sensitive eyes. Even my L1224R's beat those.
