Default need ideas

hello, first post here
i bought a 1989 mazda b2200 (identical to the ranger)
2.2L 4-cylinder with about 89 hp
whatss the best way to add more power for cheap? i want at least 100 hp....
i want to swap a 5.0 v8 but im a little tight for cash right now.
any other good all round mods for these trucks?

Good luck, that engine is a Pooch..

You would get better results by installing lower gears. Like 456

Do you have the 2.3 ford engine 4plug or 8 plug in that or the 2.2 mazda 12 valve engine?

the 2.2 mazda...
crappy engine but for $100 its a good truck.

I think thats the same engine in the ford probe. You could do a custom grind cam and also get you a turbo mant and put a small turbo on it also.

The easiest reliable method is to save for a new vehicle. Aftermarket crap doesn't give anything but continue to take your money. If your ego needs stroking by having a truck which is better than your friends, buy a louder horn for it.
