Default Flat towing and hubs

Okay, I'm getting closer to picking up my 90 ranger XLT 4x4 in VA, but a wrench has been thrown in the works. It's not a bad thing, but I'll also be picking up a F-350 dually and need to tow one back. Since the rangers 2.9L motor is a little tired, I don't think it's going to be the candidate, so I plan on using a tow bar and flat towing it back from VA to OK. With that said, I've done this many times with my Jeep and I always drop the drive shafts. Can anyone tell me the recommended way to tow the explorer?

Outside of that, I am looking to have the automatic hubs replaced in the ranger before I head back to pick it up and was wondering what it should cost.

Man, I'm getting excited.

Got me a 1990 XLT 2.9L 4x4 Manual that's not back in my possession just yet. But it's one that I owned brand new and I'm getting it back!
