Default Recall

Hey did anyone else hear about the recall for our trucks, its the speed control module. I took mine to ford yesterday and they fixed it for free in about 2 minutes. Just wanted to share this with everyone.

Ya that is like 3 years old

IMO it is a hack job fix could have made it look better.

I was disappointed that mine doesn't have CC until I found out about the recall. Now I'm glad it doesn't.

Add a fused wire to the cruise control These pictures are cleaner installs then the ones I have seen.

i just bought a used ranger and if i wanted to be able to tell if it had been done. how would it look, no wires to the CC module?

Would look something like the pictures posted above.

The wires would be located where the brake fluid resivor is.

That's the deactivation switch, huh? I was thinking that it was attached to the brake pedal, lol.

Not sure what years were covered but years affected were 95-97 and 01-03

i had mine checked out a while back. then i found out i didn't have the problem but i had a seat belt recall. had that taken care of within the hour. here is the post i made about it ford recall
