Finally a nice comfortable ride in my Ranger
After complaining in every forum I subscribe to and checking shock absorber prices and availability, and checking wheel offset etc etc etc.
I lowered the tire pressure from 35 to 27 psi and it's sedan type comfort now. Hard to believe the difference. My tires (I've only had the truck a few weeks) must be heavy duty off-road or something equivalent, but they are flexing to my satisfaction now. No telling how the tread wear will be but I don't really care, I'm happy and the truck is finally a pleasure to drive.
Why did I choose 27 psi? Frankly, I though 25 might be extreme and 29 was like needing rounding to 30. And if the tire wasn't already round I would have it shaved (another possibility)...well 27 sounded like a good starting point.
