Default Need a decent sounding horn

The horn on my truck is about as loud as a hamster fart - it is a cheap replacement from Pep Boys and I need something better. I'm trying to find a single note horn (don't need to play Dixie or La Cokaracha) in the $20 - $40 range. I don't need a train horn, but I need something that will definitely get people's attention... and something that sounds like it belongs on a truck. If you have any experience with something in this range and/or can provide links, please do.

I know some have put cadillac horn on their truck.

They use them from 80's cadillacs

Since you are price conscious, find an 18 wheeler tractor junk yard (yes, they exist) for a used compressor and horn. New they're over $300 but used, don't know until you ask. But no question about it being loud.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'll look into the Caddy horn, but I'm going to have to pass on the truck horn, as that's a bit more than I'm looking for. If there's anything else off the shelves that will work, I'm interested.

F-150 horns should hook right up to your existing bracket and wireing

You originally said, 80's Cadillacs, do the 60's ones sound the same?
