After reading most of this thread yesterday, I decided to get an UltraGauge! Thanks, guys. I think it'll be a rewarding purchase.
As for location, I'm thinking in the lower lefthand corner of my windshield where the State of Texas requires her residents to put inspection and registration stickers. I can't see through 'em anyway, so I might as well put it there! Plus, it's a short run down the end of the dash to the plug.

Mike H. | That sounds like a good idea! I might do the same because on the other side of the windshield has my military base stickers and the cord length wouldn't have to go so far

I found the lower left corner of the window purfect.... also it is easy to hide the cord in the crack between the body and the dash.... I love it... found that if I keep my hiway speed just below 65mph I get significantly better mileage than at 70... and the difference in travel time to work is insignificant.

capn | Good to know...I just installed mine during the lunch hour. Can't wait to go home now (for more than one reason!).

capn | Curious; this weekend, on a short trip to Houston from Irving, I actually got higher MPG numbers the faster I went...around 80 mph, I was getting an average of 17.3. Usually, my daily commute is slower and the MPG is lower.
Here's what I'm baffled about : SuperCabs have 19.5-gal. tanks, but my UltraGauge will say I've got plenty of fuel when the factory gauge only shows a quarter tank or so. I do reset it at every tank fill, but I must be doing something else wrong. Guess it's time to RTFM!

I got mine this last week, I like it so far. The MPG is right around the 16.5 range which makes me happy. thats what Ford said I would get on the sticker. still working out what info I want it to show. I used the included mount and put mine in the lower left corner. good place for quick glance and no real vision blocked.

I just ordered two (2), one for me and the other as a Christmas present for my son. I'm looking forward to receiving it before Christmas. Everybody still happy with their purchases? It is not made in metric units yet, but most people in Canada still relate to miles/gallon. Ooops, I just remembered that the US gallon is different than our Imperial gallon. Guess I will have to do some conversions anyway.
