Any one with a stock intake what is the intake temp on your truck when not moving and when driving down the road. How close is it to the actual air temp outside?

Once you're moving, the IAT will equal outside ambient temperature. While you're sitting there not moving, it will climb due to the high under-hood temperatures heating up the sensor. I keep the IAT on my scangauge all winter long.

Mine while moving is not equaling the outside air temp. So I was just curious to see if anyone with a stock intake was getting a different number.

Mine while driving down the road will be 7-10 degrees cooler then the outside air temp.

Has anyone here experienced any problems with the ultral gauge killing your battery if left on.. on the UG forum there is some discussion and this morning after leaving it connected to my girls lexus (95 ES) it was dead enough that it did not have enough kick to start it..... kinda scary... any thoughs are appreciated, BTW I left a post on the UG website.... and a support ticket on the support side....

You have a sensor problem or the ultragauge is not reading it properly. As I'm sure you know, it's physically impossible for the air to actually be cooler than ambient.
