Default 40k

Just hit 40k miles today! Ive owned the truck since about 35k and was wondering what maintenance should be done with this kind of mileage?

do you know what maintenance jobs the previous owner did to it? The answer depends largely on that

got it from a dealer so not sure what the previous owner did. i change the oil regularly and also the breaks. i was just wondering if any other fluids could be due to a change or anything that others have had problems that could be prevented soon after 40k

I bought mine recently at 50K. since then I got a tune up and a tranny flush/filter change. Check your tranny fluid, your manual says change it every 30,000. Most people don't.

Fluid wise you could always change the diff fluid and gasket. Went to change mine today and it started raining and dads got his truck in the garage :\

Also you could always use some more blinker fluid.

Oil change, transmission fluid change, and differential fluid change. Rotate the tires too.

Take your owner's manual and service manual into the bathroom and spend some quality sit down time going through them. Do that for a week or two. All the answers to most basic questions are right there.

Tell her the blinker fluid reservoir is easily accessible when you remove the shroud for the flux discombobulator
