Default Removable over-cab light rack...?

I want some lights above my cab, but my truck is mainly a DD so I want to make the whole rack removable

I was thinking of making something that sits in the tie-down holes in the bed of my truck, that possibly bolts on somewhere, where i can mount 4-5 HIDs (probably 9" to match the lights on my prerunner bumper)

I just mainly want something that can be taken off, without having to drill into my truck anywhere or anything

IDEAS PLEASE

Either there or drill 2 holes in the top of the bed right be4 the cab and use wing nuts on the bottom of the bolts w/ lock washers. That way they wont come loose until you turn the wing nuts...

I wanted something removable so i went and made a rack out of pvc pipe and took some pipe mounts mounted them on the truck the pipe will slip into the mounts and hold it to the truck to take it off all you have to do is pull up and unwire it

What is the point of getting lights on the roof? Bumper mounted lights are more than enough for 99.9% of the people on this site. The main benefit for getting lights up on the roof is for LONG range projection for when you are going very fast. I have 3 Kragen HID's on my bumper and haven't had a need for any more light up higher yet. IF I did need more distance I could use a light with a spot beam and then it would be fine.

sometimes you would like some more light further up the trail since most can only be used off road

Simply put: I love lights. That's the reason haha. I have (4) 9" HIDs on my prerunner bumper and it is plenty. I just want more lighting for show because I run a lighting company and it's just more advertisement! Haha

That looks like a steaming pile of dump. PVC Pipe belongs in your house, not on your truck.. Those lights look like they're about to fall off at any second.. and don't get me started on that wiring job.

steaming. DUMP.

What's next? A pushbar made out of christmas wrapping paper tubes?

hey the lights aren't going anywhere and there is still some work to be done on it or maybe you didn't read that part. either way it still does the job. just because you don't like the way it looks does not mean you can go around bashing everybody about it

I didn't bash "everybody". It just looks like a terrible half-ass job.. sorry if that's hard to hear. That's not the way that should be done.
