Just wondering.
This thread is assuming the possibility the Ford Ranger maybe discontinued after 2011. I am not saying it will or will not be. I am just speculating. I was wondering what you guys will do when it is time to buy a new vehicle assuming the ranger is gone. Luckily I am getting a new job soon so I can buy a new 2010 ranger. However some of us don't plan on buying a new ranger. So what are the plans for the future assuming worst case scenario. On a side note hopefully if I do get a new ranger it will last forever just in case.

Re: Just wondering.
Have had mine for 5 years and dont see me getting rid of it anytime soon. Unless some one offered my asking price for it.
If I was in a wreak and it was totaled I dont know what I would get.

x2. Plus it depends on a number of other facts such as my income, gas prices, where I'm working (aka how far I'm driving everyday), etc.

Re: Just wondering.
I will not get another Ranger when this ones is gone. I like it and all but I want a bigger truck with a V8.

Re: Just wondering.
I'm still new to having a Ranger, and I like having one a lot. And I plan on having mine for awhile.
I also have a fullsize that I drive once in awhile. But I do kinda miss driving it daily. However, i don't miss filling the Bronco up.
In the position i'm in now, i'd buy another Ranger if something were to happen to mine. But i'd make sure it was a 4 door this time. Thats my only regret with mine.
If I had more money, i'd buy a Powerstroke and daily drive that.

Re: Just wondering.
id probably try and find a 64 conteninal and drive that tank around..the trunks long enough to look like a truck bed haha
or mabye try and find a 60's fairlane or falcon and restomod that or a 40's mercury and lead sled it point is i dont plan on ever buying a brand new vehicle because they just arent what im interested in theres only a few vehicles i like past 2005 and all those are ford trucks and mustangs

Re: Just wondering.
I'm not replacing my ranger until it's nothing but a burnt out shell being hauled onto a flatbed. When that time comes, it will probably go to something like an Escape or similar sized SUV. I don't have a need for a truck anymore.

Re: Just wondering.
I honestly don't think they will be discontinuing the Ranger, but if they did, i'd probably get an F-150 or the new Taurus. By the time my Ranger dies, they should be dirt cheap used, lol
