Amen. My grandfather taught me that trucks were meant to be two doors and a long bed. That being said, he'd probably roll over in the grave if he knew I bought a Ford.
If I wanted to haul people around instead of junk, I would have gotten a car.

I've always wondered if people in the US could do that. That is one sharp truck (for a 4 door).
Here's a couple of my thoughts, for what they are worth:
1. The ranger, IMHO, is the best looking small truck on the market. I would have bought a Chevy if there small trucks didn't look stupid.
2. A diesel two door version would sell. I've had a diesel and loved it. They get better MPG (no telling what a two door diesel 4 banger would get), and there are some many people that have diesel trucks (at least in my area) because they get better than the gas versions. Ford would be the only people selling small trucks with diesel engines in the USA. A lot of construction companies (again, at least in my area) would buy those up.
3. They could tweak with the style, but I agree also with not wanting a truck that looks like a plastic toy. Someone I know has a Frontier and I think it is the ugliest and worst truck to ride in.
Come on Ford, we need a small ranger diesel!
