Default Name the truck??

I know some people name their truck, I never had one with a name or thought about it till my wife told me I should. Opinions on naming your truck? Is it as dumb as LAMBO DOORS on a ranger? Whats your take and for the hell of it look at my truck and think of a name. I got one in mind but I want to see if there is something better!

I think there may be something to naming your truck. On one hand it hearkens back to ancient traditions of speaking a vessel's name at launch to invoke luck or blessings. On the other hand, it makes it easier to talk about it or talk to it, and lends weight when bragging about it or cursing at it. In some cases it can provide visual elements for a theme if you're focused on appearance. Plus my wife told me I should name mine too

Plenty of people name their trucks. Some people recommend waiting a bit to assess it's character (something you've had plenty of time to do) before giving it a name (during which time you can at least determine it's gender!)

Going by appearance alone, with the double lifted profile, and the red color suggesting courage, aggression and perhaps nobility, you could call it Leo, Leon or perhaps Leonid. Or not. You may be thinking 'WTF kind of name is that?' - it's a highly individual thing.

LOL!!

I think whatever name simply occurs to you without thinking is the most appropriate.

I look at my truck sometimes and just think, "black beauty..." but I can't really refer to it as that because it's too cliche. So mine will have to remain nameless.

And I can't even think of anything but "big red" when I look at yours. Obviously I suck at this!

Wow so weird, saw a tv show yesterday that said only women named their cars.

Never occured to me to name my cars.

If it had an onboard computer with artificial intelligence, i'd prob name it kitt i guess.

Ha ha, one of our work trucks is named betsy. She is a crew cab f350 with a gigantic ass glass rack/box combo thing. She is ugly as fuck, but she is a beast. No one has gotten her stuck yet. I think her heavy ass helps out in the mud. lol. Anyway, i say name it little red riding hood.
