Default Are there ANY trails in NJ????

Seriously! does this state suck that much? I looked online, and there were TWO.. one was a state park and it's closed, the other was the pine barrens and honestly, looks a little more then my truck can handle.. I'm not looking to sink the thing, just get off road and get a little dirty. Anyone know of any?

Try splitrock reservoir or Charlottesburgh reservoir in Rockaway, Morris county. They may have a west milford mailing address on the web

See if you can hook up with some off roading clubs. I bet there is a lot more out there, just on private land. Time to do some networking.

Where are you located in NJ?

Wharton state forest is great for offroading, there are plenty of places for both stock and modified trucks. Over in Jackson by Great Adventure, there are a bunch of trails to ride around. I live back there and have explored some of the trails, I need some other people to come along so that I can go and find some mud.

Wharton is great. Lots of neat trails and some water crossings. You can spend a day in there!

I might be up for some decent mud as long as I don't lose my truck in it. lol! My friends ranger is a lease so she don't want to get to nuts with hers.. We will have to get something going cause I REALLY want to go. I'm up in middlesex county.

How far from PA are you guys? There are some awesome mudholes along Delaware water gap on the PA side.

it really depends, for me to get to PA via rte 80, I'd say it's roughly an hour and that's just to the gap, after that it really depends where the trails are. My truck sucks on gas so I would for sure need a gas station near by before I go into the trails.

Got your PM, Joe. I'm serious about hitting up the trails.

If anyone wants to meet out by me, I'm good Saturdays after 12:00 and some Sundays. I can't promise any mud, but there's a butt load of trails behind me. I'm cool with using my place as a meeting ground as I'm literally 5 minutes from the trails.
