Default Can’t find clicking sound

Hi everyone, hope all is well. I have a 2010 ranger xl 4dr, 4.0l auto bare bones truck. I took it for a ride today and towed a 2000lb trailer and came home and parked it. Come after 4-5 hours later to close it up and i can hear this clicking sound, seems to be coming from behind the stereo. For the life of me i couldn’t tell you what is making this ticking sound. Occasionally it will speed up and then back to its normal pace. Goes away when you turn the key to the on position. I tried uploading a sound file of the clicking, not sure where it went?

Oh i found the clicking, it turns out that i left the headlights on and didn’t know that. The next morning i come out to find it still clicking and turned the key to start it and nothing, i happened to look at the switch and sure enough they were still on. So it must be the chime that chimes when you leave the lights on. It only click real faint like. In my defence, i haven’t had a truck without auto headlights in about 20 years. This plain jane ranger is a learning curve for me. From rolling the windows down by hand and laying across the seat to do the passenger window up or down, to turning lights on and off. I can see why at times people drive around at night with just their day time running lights. Thank you to the person who offered suggestions.
