Default Is it worth it?

Hi all, pls look at this listing, do you think is it worth the money?
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined

It is a 98, 84000 miles, xtracab for $1500. Manual too. Catch is it has a messed up motor since it overheated due to a failed thermostat and blew the headgasket and will need a new head.
Any thought would be appreciated.
I have a four cylinder s10 with 98000 that I have to put a new motor in and im wondering if this other truck would be a better buy.....

First truck for me im 15 so any help im grateful for. Just want something that'll run.

Depends on which engine it has, and if you can do the work yourself. Around here, a 2wd 2.5l '98 regular cab truck would go for $3k to $3.5k

1998 Ranger with 84,000 miles. Red Flag #1......."Truck ran great when it ran" Red Flag #2.
Since you are 15, buy a truck that runs and doesn't need major work. My first car was a 1971 Ford Pinto, it looked like crap but ran for 4 years without needing any repairs.

Thank you. I kinda thought the same.

I can fix the s-10 up for about 2000 and it will be up and running nicely. What do you guys think about that?
