It is a 98, 84000 miles, xtracab for $1500. Manual too. Catch is it has a messed up motor since it overheated due to a failed thermostat and blew the headgasket and will need a new head.
Any thought would be appreciated.
I have a four cylinder s10 with 98000 that I have to put a new motor in and im wondering if this other truck would be a better buy.....

Depends on which engine it has, and if you can do the work yourself. Around here, a 2wd 2.5l '98 regular cab truck would go for $3k to $3.5k

Since you are 15, buy a truck that runs and doesn't need major work. My first car was a 1971 Ford Pinto, it looked like crap but ran for 4 years without needing any repairs.
