Default Back again from WV

How's it going everyone? I'm back again from WV after being gone for a few years with another model of ranger. I had an old 88 with a 2.9 v6 that the tranny went out on, and now I'm the proud owner of my second ranger. A 2008 base model with a 2.3L I4. Now I haven't made many modifications to it other than newer halo headlights and new taillights. I just recently put a stage 7 tuning chip in it from Yashari, and boy did it make a difference. I have a few questions regarding putting a different ECU, and possibly a shift kit in the trans. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and God bless.

Welcome back. So what flavor super chip did you waste your money on? Bbq, or perhaps French onion?

Cool ranch. Just the right amount of spice without the burn. Lol

The only thing that chip did was to lighten your wallet

Eh I wouldn't go that far. It did give me an extra 5mpg, much better acceleration, and more pore and torque when towing or hauling. I would normally agree with you on most instances, but I had never had a tuning chip before until now.

I guess after reading that miraculous list of " proof " it must have turned water to wine also...
I'm guessing it was an Ebay purchase. In general nothing good can come from buying car items from Ebay or Jc whitney...
i guess this is an amazing find and an unheard of piece of technology that probably has a series of blinking lights to " prove " it's doing something.

But it's your money and if you think it's doing something then so be it. guess I'll have to put my magic beans up for sale then too!

Look man, since you don't know how my truck ran before or after I got it, I'm not going to try and justify it to you. I'm assuming you've probably had some bad experience with chips before, and I totally understand that and won't hold it against you. Even if you haven't, you're entitled to you're own opinion on the matter. But don't be on here just to dog someone on what they've done. Instead, how about try to give helpful advice on different things they can do to improve their vehicle. Thanks for your time though.
