Default Engine missfire 2.2 Tdci 2012

I have a 2.2 Tdci 2012 truck
Engine miss fire when under load at low revs like climbing a hill which can be violent.
But accelerating from standstill through the gears up to speed there are no problems.

Any ideas??

Should be a code, but are you sure you're not lugging it down too much?

Defintly not lugging it, a misfire quite severe at times. No lights on dash.
Have not plugged i a diagnostic machine as yet.

The truck had been in Spain for a long period & then returned back to the UK where it didnt turn a wheel for 18 months. It has been suggested that the miss fire could be due to water in the fuel??

Does this sound feasible?? Or not what do people think?

I have also had an issue with the mass air flow sensor?

Any thoughts?
