Actually go to google images and type in military ford ranger you will see a green 4 door one with a roof rack and cattle guard. It's kinda cool, check it out.

Ive seen a f150 in dark olive green(gloss) with blacked out rims. They also have a Jeep Commander in the same scheme. Looked like something a mil contractor would use.

I am thinking of going with the 98+ . I know the newer ones are out of my price range for right now. There is a guy down the street that has a 99 extended cab shorty that I was thinking of picking up for a grand.

Not a Ranger, but may give some ideas:
US Army RSOV (Ranger Special Operations Vehicle)

Some non-US model Rangers in Afghanistan (or thereabouts):

I always wanted to put a heavy tripod in the back of my truck. Then mount the M2 .50cal machine gun. Maybe a powered quadruple mount like the World War 2 era M45 .50 AA Half-track. : )

Well, not generally a huge fan of the military theme on vehicles (somewhat biased on seeing military stuff outside work). However, the coolest one I seen was at Fort Benning, Georgia. There was a guy pulled up to the gas station in a Hummer with a custome paint job. Had Army ACU pattern over back, blending into bright yellow towards the front. On the hood was a memorial to the guy's son, killed in action. Looked really amazing. Wish I had pics, but just went to store for some beer that night, so no camera :>(

Screw paint! My truck needs a 50cal machine gun mounted on a reinforced back-rack...

If you're going for a true tactical look, you need to use a flat finish to reduce reflective surfaces for purposes of concealment and light discipline. Of course you still have your IR signature to deal with...

Wow! This post takes me back to my first Ranger, bought it new when I was an active duty Marine. I loved that truck....
