Default 2004 4.0 Ranger 4x4 3.73 Vs. 2003 Grand Am GT RAM AIR

I won. We raced to 100. He got off the line a tad bit quicker then me, but when she shifted to 2nd, it passed him. I left him sitting there. He over took me past 100 but we were only seeing 0-100 so I won. His car will do 140, and picks up after 100 for some reason.

On a side note, how many of the 4.0 guys here can stomp their ranger and roast their tires? Mine for some reason isn't willing to do it right off the line.

Well you've got a slightly more economical final drive than the 4.10 that's necessary to break traction with a 4.0 at take off.
With the 3.73 you're right on the verge.

Changing the rear end to 4.10's would mean I'd have to change the front end as well right? How much does doing it cost? Estimates?

I have a 2004 4.0 and if i smash on the pedal i will sit there for a good 2 sec with my tires spinning.

I do this when I drive my dad's truck, only it's an 06.

figure your tire size matters as well.
