Default 2011 Ranger slips

Hello all. Newbie here. My 2011 4L 4x4 seems to slip at various speeds. 45-50 , 60-65. Seems to do it went cold 30 or so deg F and the road is wet or slushy. Doesn't seem to slip when dry. Just had the Trany flushed with new filter. Still doing it. Has 135k on the Trany. Is there some sensor for the anti slip or some other sensor that could be causing this. Guy that did the flush, trust him very much, said the Trany look nice bright and not burnt fluid smell. Any thoughts ? Thanks.

If there is a discrepancy between what the transmission speed should be and the actual speed (a slip) you would get a flashing overdrive light. There are input and output speed sensors on the transmission to monitor this. Do you get a flashing OD light or a check engine light? When you hit the overdrive button on the column does the light illuminate? (Verifying the bulb works)?

There is a given amount of slip in any automatic but like I said, above the acceptable threshold the light should come on to indicate a problem. If the sensors were bad it would also instantly give an error code. Are you sure you're just not loosing traction since you say its happening in slush?

Slips when the road is slippery and doesn't slip when dry? I never knew that could happen.

dirtman:
No the light (no lights) doesn't come on, as when the traction control kicks in. it feels like the trany is caught between gears, it was doing it yesterday on wet, not slushy, roads, but the temp was around 28-32F. it was doing it at around 66mph. It was also doing in around 40-45mph. It is very odd. warm days with dry pavement it does not do it. it will do it after I back off on the gas. Looking for any ideas at all before I bring it to the Ford dealer and pay big $$ to have them tell me "everything looked ok, here's you $400 bill"

Sorry you can't understand that.
By the way there is a Pest Control company that is selling a 150 gallon tank on craigslist, maybe you can use that for a fuel tank on your Ranger
