Limited slip units are available for both the 7.5" and 8.8" diffs used in the ranger.

About 150-200 pounds of weight AND good snow tires will do more than a locker or limited slip

So the lsd is in the gears of the lsd instead of a different unit?

The LSD unit replaces the original spider gears of a standard open diff.
