I am having issues with my 06 Ranger. It starts most of the time but occasionally it will turn over but not start. If you wait an hour or so the truck will start without any issues. The check engine light has came on with a P0174 code but unsure if it has anything to do with it or how to fix it if so. Any suggestions??

Clean or replace the mass airflow sensor in the intake tube, there is special cleaner for the sensor sold at parts stores. It can be other things, but start there

P0174 is a lean code. It certainly could have something to do with not starting. Check for vacuum leaks? Check fuel pressure?

Right, but it’s common that the sensor tells the System to pump less gas because it’s not reading the correct air flow. It’s just the easiest place to start. It can be a system leak as mentioned above also
