What is this?
I've ben hearing rattling when I drive, just changing the shocks and seen that. It's just loose around the drive shaft

Yes. Once it breaks its garbage. And it didn't need to be there in the first place. Cut it off completely and go about life... Seriously, it did nothing. They were at best an experiment on rangers since most never had them...
