Default Another battery cable replacement question

Hey guys, I see parts on lots of forums staying how easy it is to replace the positive and negative battery cables on a ranger in response to some poor soul who needs to replace their cables. What I don't see are any photos or a write-up anywhere. Anyone have some?

I am getting weird electrical symptoms (truck wants to stall when I turn the lights on, odd abs lights, etc.) and I think my corroded cables are part of the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Might be some wright-ups, but most time it's just a do thing. Not the most pleasant job, remove the battery, start with the ground cable first, it will have some holding clamps bolted to different places, as well as some spin off ground wires from it. The positive will be the same way, getting to the end of it on the starter is the worst part, takes different size wrenches, make sure everything is bright and tight when done.

I was having issues with my 93 and replaced the terminal connectors at the battery only. Seemed to solve my issues.
It's my understanding that the cables don't usually wear out, it's mainly the connection points.

Run a #4 wire from the alternator bracket to the frame. Always start with easy stuff first. Check battery and voltage with engine running.

Thanks for the responses so far, they're helpful. I'm going to check it out tomorrow a bit and start simply with the grounds and making sure everything is kosher there.

Cleaned the grounds (two of them nearest the battery, one by the fuse and relay box and one directly behind the driver's side headlight) this morning, and so far so good. I cannot replicate the stalling when I turn the lights on.
