Default Headlight and Brake questions

So as of now my high beaks work but not my regular headlights. Changed the bulbs, cleaned the terminals, checked the fuses, all should be good. The other lights work. Any thoughts on what that could be?

Also, I have a soft-ish brake pedal. It's kind of always been that way, and I'm wondering why. I'm not losing fluid in my MC reservoir, and I just had my brakes bled a month ago. Front brakes are all brand new (calipers, pads, rotors). Rear brakes are needing to be replaced in the next while, they're at about 75% IIRC. Could the softness just be from the wear on the rear brakes?

Thanks!

Verify fuse #12 under the hood and fuse #33 in the cab. If those are fine which you said they are move on to testing the headlight switch itself. High beams operate through the turn signal multi function switch and not the headlight switch so since you say high beams work fine, my best conclusion is a bad headlight switch.

As for the brakes.... If the rears are way out of adjustment it can cause some slack in the pedal. In my experience rear brakes are neved adjusted right anyway so I would start by adjusting them providing the star adjusters still function.

Thanks! I'll look into how to replace that switch. As for the brakes,
I'm less familiar with disk brakes- what do you mean when you say star adjustment?

+1. Easy to do but very complicated to explain. Lots of good you tube vids on how to do it. Only tools needed are a jack, jack stands, a brake spoon is prefered but a flat tip screw driver works fine, and a skinny straight pic. Takes about 10-15 minutes IF... and big IF... the adjusters are not frozen which happens alot. Frozen adjusters means tearing into the drums and at that point you might as well just do a full brake job.

I hate this idiot but look up "chris fix", he has a very clear video on youtube doing a complete drum brake job on a ranger.
