Default The real story on ground clearance?

O.K., so I have seen a lot of debate on this on the internet. But I'm sure there must be someone on here that has actually measured these trucks.

I know it also depends on what size tires you have but lets just say they all have the same size tires on 16" rims. Oh, all 4WD too.

What is the actual ground clearance to the LOWEST point on;
#1 Ford Ranger (00' model)
#2 Toyota (the old models before and or the Tacoma pre 08')
#3 Nissan Frontier (pre 08')
#4 Chevy Zr2 (pre 08')

And thanks again for letting me pick your brains!

Not sure how we are supposed to know anything but the Ranger answer... and with that (since you need to have the same tire size) how are we gonna know the rest?? Go find a used car lot..

From what I've seen, everyone is pretty much different on here depending on how they are geared. Your best best would probably be to start with a stock Ranger of your choice and go from there. Ie. FX Level II, or whatever.

I THINK, heavy stress on THINK, the standard is something on the order of 8.5". Anything above that is gravy.
