Default p0305, p0304 code

I was driving over a bridge yesterday and trying to speed around a slow driver to make sure I could get to my exit. I started accelerating and the engine started making this weird clicking sound and wouldn't accelerate. it even slow down a little. SHortly thereafter the check engine light started blinking. I pulled over and read the code, got P0305 so a cylinder 5 misfire. I went to work on it today, erased the code, and pushed it hard to see if I could get the same code but instead, I got P0304, so a cylinder 4 misfire! What is the problem here, is it a vacuum leak? I checked all the plugs and wires and they all look fine.

on a 3.0 that gets misfire codes on adjacent cylinders...either a head or head gasket. vacuum leak will cause a lean code. check the condition of the oil and rent a head gasket tester

Maybe clear it a couple more times and see if the same two cylinders misfire?
