Default Advice needed please

I got the chance to buy a low mile ranger 2002 with 3.0 engine2x4 , one family owned . My concern is that the truck been used for the past two and half years (20k put on) to run a like side business which towed a a 6x10 trailer and a zero turn machine on it , not to mention the junk and tools in bed .
Truck has under 50k total miles .
My concern the towing on tranny .
I drove it for a short distance and all seem ok .
Should I keep on looking or is it ok to buy ?
Thoughts
Thanks

With tow capacity near and sometimes above 5000lbs you're worried about a 900lb lawn mower and another 1000lbs [maybe] in trailer and tools?

I get it, only fools learn by their mistakes, wise men learn from the mistakes of others BUT if the rest of the truck overall looks good as far as the body being clean - dent free, paints in good shape or atl least all one color, it sounds/feels good, they have maintenance records, there is no leaks, tires are good, brakes feel solid, no weird noises, and the guys being honest as an owner. Follow your gut.

If you're unsure, set up a mutually convenient time for you and the owner and say you'd like to have your mechanic peek at it.. Don't be a miser, throw $10 in the tank for wear & tear and courtesy and drive it around with the owner on the local streets and a freeway run. Don't romp on it but feel it out like a real test drive on a car.. not 4 right hand turns for 4 blocks and come back bullshit.

If its solid, you're on the right path if you have doubts, you may have to pass on it. but if its little shit, just talk the guy down $250 or so.

20k miles isnt a lot of miles. If you're a back east guy it may seem to be but in the western part of the states, mileage can be easily compounded because there are far longer distances between things unless in the bigger cities. i.g California has 36+ million people and anywhere in Socal and the shoreline areas you'd swear they were all in the same 300 miles you drive. Nevada has 6+ million people and 2/3 of them are in Vegas, Reno, and Carson city.. and then there is nothing but Joshua trees and open desert and mountains.. Oh and Area 51, but we don't talk about that here.

Dings scratches there nothing major , paint clean , nobody work , clean carfax no accidents , it is an old man truck since new , he hardly ever drove it less than 2k a year garage kept up to like 2 and half years ago when his son took it and started using it for his business,
I am gonna take ur recommendation and take it for a good test drive to make sure that tranny shifting good , beside that I am not worried about the other issues as I can handle my self , brakes / fluids etc , my main concern is the transmission as this is big $ to fix , it has the3.0 engine that I am familiar with , had it on my mercury sable that I drove for 115k and been nothing but a good engine .
This will be replacing my 2.5 ranger stick shift that been a bulletproof truck for the past 10 years I owned , if this one will be as much reliable , I ll be a happy camper , I just need an automatic transmission, stick become s pain with today’s traffic , not to mention super cab give me more room
