Default 2010 XLT - Headlight Switch/Fog light Combo

Good Day Guys and Gals,
2010 XLT Fog lights come on by themselves. Parked in driveway. Turn on headlights, pull on fog lights work as intended. Turn off headlights, fog's go off then about 3 seconds later come back on by themselves. Full brightness.
Repeat, headlights come on, pull on fog lights all appear to work. Turn off and in about 3 seconds, fog's come back on. Quick fix is to pull the 15 amp fuse in Position 31 killing power to fogs. That doesn't solve the "problem". Jiggling the headlight switch doesn't seem to affect at all. Anyone else having this issue? Replacing the switch appears simple enough but I don't know anything about removing the under dash panel on the 2010. If someone could point me in the right direction for any info, it would be appreciated. Tnx much. Great Forum BTW. Rob WA4IPE

Did this just start? Are we sure there isnt a day time running light feature being used?

Thank you for response. Yes, I'm original owner of the truck with "ZERO" issues up to now. There is no "automatic on" feature in this 2010 XLT. The headlights and fogs are normally turned on manually with the switch, when needed. This started about a week ago, noticed by the neighbors daughter, walking her dog, rang the front doorbell to tell me my fogs were on in the driveway. I went out turned them "on" (the switch was already off) then back "off" and they went out. I didn't think much about it, until the next night the doorbell rang again. It turned off again that night. Then I noticed the fogs were on, several times the next day. That's when I pulled the 15A fuse in slot 31 in order to keep from killing the battery. I don't use the fogs often, but it sure as heck is making me scratch my head...Sure could use some idea's on this one. Thanks again. Rob
