Hello all.
I am contemplating a rear end swap in my 2003 XL. My goals are strictly gas mileage. I don't tow anything and only haul very light loads maybe once a month or so.
I looked up which gears were available in the same size rear end (I'm not really interested in an 8.8" swap) and decided on the 3.45 and started pricing them. I ran across this on a parts site. I have never seen a 3.27 listed in any Ranger rear end charts EXCEPT in the 8.8". Is this a mistake on the parts site or just a rare gearing only offered in a specific situation?
The 3.45 isn't all that much taller than the 3.73 I have now and the 3.08 is probably too tall. A 3.27 would be a great road cruising gear and that's where I spend most of my time.
Does anyone have any more information on a 3.27 gear in a 7.5" rear
Thanks

Ok the picture won't load and the link isn't working. I found the 3.27 here by doing a search for a 1995 Ranger rear axle assembly.
