Arrow Coilspring Spacers Aren't Enough

Hi all,
I recently put in 2 inch coil spacers in the front. However it is still not to the point that I'd like it! What else can be done so that it will actually sit level?

Post a picture. Have you flipped the rear shackles yet? That would drop the rear end I don't know if that's an option for you

Shouldnt need to flip shackles to level it and doing so will put your headlights looking for squirrels in the trees [exaggeration].

What are you after? the prerunner look? or ground clearance? I run 2" What are you judging buy or measuring from. If you measure from the center of the hub to the fender lip you should be within a .50" +/- front and back and depending on the condition of the coils, leaf springs, tire pressure of all things (YES it can change things), left measurements vs right side measurements there a re a few variables to check over.

On my 93'-94' hybrid so to speak, I run 2" Daystar spacers up front until my Mid travel kit comes in and the trucks rear leafs are an upgraded from a 3pk to a 5pk and 550lbs more payload and giving me a 1.55" lift in the rear and my truck (2WD) actually sits level at this point. I sit on 33"s with a 2" BL as well.

So my point being are you looking to satisfy an aesthetic look or something functional? All lifts arent exactly functional and maybe what you are after isnt the right direction to go. So with that maybe we can help you dial it in better?

You might look into 4 liter engine springs or air condition equipped truck springs to to see if they are higher load rated.

I see the problem in that as the spring rate itself. I would think that a spring meant for more weight/aux features-added weight in a lesser weighted vehicle would make for a possible bad situation, at least in the sense of a daily grinder.

Case in point. Spring rates meant for more weight put in said lighter vehicle would be possibly "over sprung" spring rates. Just as would be the same effect on a spring rate on a vehicle thats too heavy for a spring.

Now I don't know if the 4.0L springs are a huge amount of rate then the 4cyl outside of knowing that they're often separated as being 4 banger/ 3.0l - 4.0l just as whether the springs will be of different rates, or should be between 4x4 and 2WD as there is certainly less unsprung weight without the front axle assembly, hubs, transfer case.. etc.

So your 4cyl setup with 4.0L springs may be wound tighter than a Japanese watch and under evasive or aggressive driving situations is where a dangerous situation could develop and of course we all know it will never happen to us right?

If you were adding a more aggressive bumper, winch, bigger tires and wheels, skid plates.. etc then now it will make more sense. If not you could have a overly sensitive or jittery front end with a lot of deflection at every bump.

Just food for thought.
