Default 2.3l Turbo kit

This kit says it's for the 2.3l Ford focus...do they have the same engine as my 2008 2.3l? If so, would I need to do anything else to the engine after the kit is installed? I k ow tuning would be needed, but would the transmission I have blow up or would it hold to say 200-250hp? I believe I have the M5ROD 5 speed.

And I know I would need the forged rods and pistons, but what could I get them from, or who sells them? Thanks

Default Re: 2.3l Turbo kit

Thanks! Honestly a lot of stuff there that's a bit foreign to me, but I'm probably going to end up getting a trashed 2.3 (body wise) with decent low miles, and build it up from the block up. I read on another RANGER forum that getting a 2.5 block, 2.3 forged rods and pistons and heads, and valve spring and rocker upgrades and some programming work will do good. I just don't know what transmission will bolt up to the 2.5 (I want a manual. If it ain't a manual I'm not doing it, sorry just not as fun) and will hold decent power. As of now, I still have no definitive answer as to what my stock M5ROD will handle.
