Default Brakes sound worn out when towing...

2010 2.3 stick reg cab w/reverse.

Just bought new 18 yfz450r SE QUAD and new 5x10 utility trailer.

Sometimes when coming to a stop towing the above toy in the trailer i hear what seems to be worn out brake pads metal on metal. I only hear this sometimes. When i am not towing even if i brake hard brakes dont sound worn out metal on metal.

If i park and drive 40 minutes later all sounds as usual brakes dont sound worn out even when starting to tow.

Is it because the brakes are overheating causing the rotor to slightly expand and rub on something?

Or the nature of the brake pad when getting hotter than usual?. Using oreileys ceramic brake pads brake best brand with brake best rotors. Both have like 30k miles on them for fronts.

If anyone can recommends nice disc rotors on all 4 corners OEM size im ears to your suggestions along with brake pads that can take it.

Also do OEM motorcraft rotors come already with bearing races presses in along with being true/resurfaced ready to roll? THE 18 YFZ450R SE IS NICE HOLY KRAP ITS GOT BALLZZZ AND BEING STOCK.

Good looking quad! I’d take a guess and say that maybe it wouldn’t hurt doing the sn95 swap on the rear of yours if you haven’t done so. I tow a 6x12 trailer with a raptor 700 and big bear 350 on it. I use powerstop drilled and slotted rotors along with their pads and it definitely stresses the truck but I can still stop everything quick.

What is the sn95 swap? My ranger has disc brakes on all corners if that is what u mean to do a disc conversion at the rear.

Can i use maxima waterproof grease on the slider pins without swelling the bushing on one of the slider pins? Grease says it is safe for seals.

Im replacing the slider pins and the bushing and the rubber dust caps. Do the slider pins simply pull out and pull in on the new ones when the get greased. Any special rotation or simply copy as it is?

Just did my brakes for first time ever:

New ceramic brake pads, new rotors, new bearings, new seals, fresh red grease, new slider pins with new slider pin bushings and new rubber dust shields, new cotter pins, new dust caps. Had an issue that on one of the brackets the old rubber bushing on the slider pin got stuck inside. Mother efer of hellll. That slowed the job trying to get it out. Eventually got it out by greasing the old pin and forcing it to go back into the slot and it came out. Frieken past brake jobs no one greased the slider pins they were frieken dry no spit no nothing. Some lazy shops dont seem to care about lubing slider pins. Used permatex green brake slider pin grease. No one else is doing my brakes ever.
