I just don't like that it's larger. Other than that the HP and tech seem great. I still like a smaller truck only because of being able to work on it in my garage. A full size truck would leave almost no room to work on hence why I don't have a f150.... as much as I love them, they are just too large. The newer ranger though smaller is still looking rather large to me, but I get it... it's the market. Just like them offering only in an auto...Most don't want or need a manual transmission anymore.

I go off-of my initial gut feeling when reviewing things and I didn't take a liking to released photos of the new Ranger. Viewing it at the auto show yesterday did not change my feelings. Still like the 2000's model year Rangers better. The truck was on a turn-style display and could not see or sit in the interior. Maybe it will go on me.

One thing I love about the Ranger vs the GM offerings, and the global ranger, is the bumper is actually a seperate bumper. On the GM it's like a whole giant body panel that makes it look like a bubble.

That's one thing Ford did wonderfully in updating the global ranger for the north american market.

For what it's worth, the reason you couldn't sit in it was that it was an incomplete truck (both the crew cab and the supercab they had on display). Fiberglass body, alternate frame and suspension, etc. It looked great from a few feet away, but up close you'd start to notice some very odd discrepancies.
