Default I've gone to the dark side

After 12 years with my 06 Mazda B4000, I've moved on to a 2018 Colorado Z71 4x4. The Mazda was a great truck through the years, but I needed something 4 people could fit in comfortably. It was fun modding this truck as it was about as base model as it could be, and turning it into what I did. I already have a few plans for the Colorado, but they are small as this truck is pretty loaded as is. Hopefully the next owner of this Mazda truck will enjoy it as much as I did.

I test drove a new Colorado a few years ago, they were a sharp looking truck and I liked the cab. Getting ready to move to a different one myself soon but it will be an F 150.

Colorados and Canyons are overpriced for what they are.

You can buy a comparably equipped F150 for less than a Colorado because GM dealers aren't giving discounts and there are no rebates offered.
I chose an 2014 F150 because GM is very bad about warranty issues and Usually will not work with the customer.
GM also did not REALLY repay their Obama bailout.....they used other government money to pay off their bailout.
I personally don't deal with deadbeat companies.

could not wait another year or two for a ranger? or the idea of being the first 2 model years guinea pig turn you off?

the Colorado zr2 is a well done rig though. they have enough clearance now stock, to run the 655 trail without hanging up too much. the diesel is bad ass but not a bargain basement dollar package to say the least.

I hope you give 2 month 6 month and 1 year reporting.

Lol a little bit of both. The Mazda needed some loving aka $$ put into it and I decided to use that as a down payment instead. Honestly I've had my eye on the Colorado since it came out and now that it's had a few years to mature, I pulled the trigger. I personally prefer the look of the Colorado to the new Ranger as well.

I agree, but I personally don't want or need a full size truck.

You can, but not all of us want or need full-size. I did get 4k off sticker which I was good with.

As far as warranty issues, I work with several local dealerships and have had no issues getting warranty claims taken care of for our customers. The dealership and your attitude can go a long way towards getting your desired resolution.

The F150s are very nice trucks, I'm sure you'll enjoy

As I'm sure the new Ranger will be. In my opinion, ALL vehicles now a days are overpriced.

Weird, my local Chevy dealer is doing 3,000 of Colorado's.

And I've had zero issues getting warranty work resolved. I've owned several new gm products, and my old man wrenched at agm dealer for 30 years. Each person's experience varies. I've honestly fought ford the most over warranty work. But I keep going back to ford. I've owned 5 Ford trucks that I bought new.

Maybe I'll look into them a few years down the road once they've worked the bugs out. Personally I prefer the look of the Colorado better.

Kept my Ranger and traded in the Sport Trac for the Z71 for the wifey...I would suggest step or something to hide that massive pinch weld of the body

I kinda plan on doing the same but I'm holding out for the new 2019 Ranger!

Colorado looks great though! Must be a night and day difference with all the features!
