Going to sell the ranger soon
Well.. the time has come for me to move out of my parent's house and move into my brother's house (lol) for University.
So a little background info to what i'll be saying in the rest of the post. Like 2 years ago my dad bought two rangers, a 1998 and an 06. He gave the 98 to me when I got my license and gave the 06 to my brother. So in my family we are a bunch of Ford fanatics, my immediate family has a Contour Sport, 3 Rangers (07,06,98), a 04 Thunderbird (original owners (super sexy car, fun as hell to drive), a 78 Mercury Cougar (mint condition with 13000km). My extended family (aunts/uncles) owns Ford Dealerships, Mustang GT 500's, Raptors, lots and lots of Rangers.. so pretty much I live by the blue oval.
But back to the main topic, I am going to sell my Ranger soon because where I am living is like a 15 min commute to and from school everyday so if I were to keep my range, gas money would be the death of me. So my dad today said "do you think you want to keep your ranger much longer?" and i replied "not really, I mean I like it but its shitty on mpg" so he asked if I would like a fusion or fiesta. I was hesitant to answer yes or no because I want something sportier but if its a free car, why not. Fiestas get wicked mpgs and are actually decent looking when you get the right model/packages. We took a look around local ford dealerships today but they don't have any fiestas in yet.
So as much as I love my truck, I will no longer mod it out and work on getting it ready for sale.
My really only question for you peeps is how much do you think I could sell it for? All the KBB values are for when it's mint condition and it's definitely not. I was wondering how much the blemishes and things wrong would take off the value. My 4x4 doesn't work, theres plenty of door dings and scratches (no gouges just paint) and my tailgate is all rough on the right side and my back bumper is all dinged up. I have added no dents, but most of the scratches are from stupid people who park beside me and possibly getting keyed. I want to get the most money I can get for this truck so I can possibly buy some mods for my new vehicle what ever it's going to be. All the Rangers for sale on selling sites in my area are newer or older, like no 96-00 so have nothing to base my price on. We got it for 6600 I think, or around that, so I know it won't be that high but I still want some cash.
The other alternative would be to keep the ranger and get a new car still but I would like to mod it out and make it unique and personalized.
I guess this is just a heads up that my range will be peacin by the end of summer/fall, but i'll likely still stay somewhat active and will definitely whore my next vehicle when the time comes.
