Just sealed a deal on a 99 expo with a bad trans.
Has the 4.0 OHV I need to get my white 98 going
Has the 4.10 LS rear end I wanted for the 5.0 project
Has the light gray cloth electric seats I wanted for my daily driver 2000
Has full console and OHC for my daily driver I wanted. Now I have an extra OHC.
Has 4 new tires on aluminum rims for one of my herd I haven't decided which one yet.
Has the premium stereo with RDS that will fit the white one for sale.

All that for 500 bucks. Life is good.

Most excellent find, Jim! The stereo with RDS: does the Expo have the amp and sub as well? You would be surprised at how that sounds in a Ranger Extended cab (got mine out of a 2001 Mountaineer).

Yes, that would be the Mach stereo system. I had the premium stereo in my Edge, but found a nice system in a 2001 Mountaineer at the Pull-A-Part. Took the head unit, sub enclosure w/amp and the 6-CD changer. Wired it all up and tested it. I had to replace the sub speaker itself because the outer foam ring had disintegrated from age. Put an $18 Boss 8" sub from Walmart.com in it and WOW! What a sound I got for about $50 in used OEM parts! So now I have 7 CD capability with RDS radio, 110 watt sub thumping along with an iPod pushing MP3s through a Monster FM transmitter, which works incredibly well. I rarely use the cassette tape feature, but I tested it to ensure it worked. I am OCD about things like that. If it is there and installed, it HAS to work or it drives me nuts! LOL

WELL... picked it up, of course not exactly as he described.
Stereo works well and is premium (larger heat sinks, totally rectangular no dip in the back) but not the mach unfortunately.

Has shorty console not full. And armrest portion is missing. Anyone have one?

Has dark flint interior not light gray. Still score because I need them for the V8 project and the seats are nice!

No OHC but I have one from the mountaineer all is good.

Tires are not new. They are very good but just over 50%. Rims are 17's and better shape than what I am currently driving. Still score but not big time.

Rear end is definitely D2 and I am SOOO happy

This thing is solid, I kinda hate stripping it. Reverse pulls just fine, forward has no pull at all like it is not there at all. Wonder if it is a simple fix?

So overall I did get a great deal but as usual nothing is as great as it first appears.
