I have been searching for the location of the security module location for my 2007. I have checked under the drivers dash, behind passenger airbag etc. I cannot find it or else I am looking for the wrong thing.

Thought my truck used a PATS module but the more I read I am not sure if it is RAP or another CSM/BSM ...

Does anyone know where the module that controls the security / key chip disable is located?

have a 1 : 6 Security Light Flashing sequence so there is apparently a communication problem between PATS and EECV... I want to check the wiring between them and located all components in case I need to replace the whole system. I think that entails taking the key, lock cylinder, transceiver, PCM and the elusive PATS module out of a donor truck and transplanting...

Any help is appreciated. I am stuck with a No Start / No Crank issues and need to resolve.

How did you make out, having the same problem

I have the no crank no start problem. 2009 6 cylinder. The key/lock light flashes code 1 6. If the PATS module is shot where is it located. Some say under the passenger air bag other say under the steering column. How to test the module? Had it tow to a non Ford repair shop and they to replace the PCM. I jump the PCM relay and the throttle body cycled and to odometer show numbers instead of dashes. I believe the PCM is good and is locked out because of a bad PATS part.
