Im getting a 2001 ranger xlt extended cab tomorrow from the dealer it is from florida and has 109k miles what do i need to know about these years. I had a 99 ranger before.

Even if it's from Florida, check for rust under the truck in the bed (some rangers came with heat shielding for the exhaust and it collects dirt and can rust out under the shielding) check the bottom of the doors. Other than that just make sure everything runs good. Check for leaks, and make sure absolutely EVERYTHING works before driving it off the lot.
