When I turn my headlights on, only the right side of my dashboard is back-lit. When I scroll my dimmer wheel to the top notch, my left said of the dash cluster illuminates too as well as the dome light, which is supposed to come on. What do I do to make both the right and left sides of my dash cluster to be lit without having my dimmer wheel all the way to the top notch? 2002 ranger XLT 3.0 v6

Likely you need to change your dimmer switch. Sounds like it has a dead spot

I don't think it's a dimmer problem...

Do you have incandescent bulbs or LEDs?

I have the stock bulbs that I believe to be incandescent.

Your the second person to tell me that. Is a junkyard replacement worth a shot or am I better off ordering one.

could be a bad dimmer switch, i'd remove the old one & shoot some contact cleaner inside & work the mechanism a few minutes & give it a shot before getting a new one.

i probably have a dimmer switch in one of my parts boxes.
