Default How bad is it...

How bad is it to leave a heavy load in your truck bed? I have my bed filled with dirt right now and can't get to unloading it for a little bit. Like maybe a week. My father in law has a neighbor who is getting rid of a flower bed and we are planning at doing some raised beds in our yard so I had to jump on it before it rained and others took it all.

Doesn't really look that loaded down. But if you are worried then just jack up the frame put some jack stands under the rear frame to take the strain off the suspension

Look under the rear and see if the axle is bottomed against the stops, there's a good benchmark. Sitting still, it really doesn't matter all that much, moving, that could be different depending on the load.

Thanks guys. This is what it looks like. I think it's original suspension.

Plenty of room there. Go ahead and put another 500 pounds in her. She's good to go.

Seriously, I see no problem there.

Just don't be pulling a Tyler and jumping the truck or anything with that kind of weight

Lol. I don't plan on using it with the dirt it. I was just worried it would be bad with it just sitting like that for a bit. Sounds like it should be okay. It's sitting in my garage for now.

Yes no worries. If anything since you have a bit of suspension left it will make it ride like a Cadillac
