2004 xlt

I have a 2004 XLT Ranger. It has manual everything. Transmission, windows, and locks. Is it supposed to have power windows and locks?All XLTs I've seen have had them.

Xlt is just a step above base/fleet. Xlt is door panels with pockets, chrome bumpers and grille, better radio (I think), cloth seats instead of vinyl. Power doors is an option. Along with tilt column.

I gutted my 2000 xlt as it was manual everything and replaced harnesses and door guts from a donor truck for power doors.

was it costly to do that?

$200 using u pull junkyard parts. I had to get an engine bay harness, dash harness, two doors and GEM module. I had to make sure the vehicle was a 2wd because of the speed signal and the 2wabs connections. For a 2004 I don't think that matters because 2001 all rangers started having 4wabs standard. Lots of research involved using factory wiring manuals to see what options had to be correct. A 2004 may have to have a smart junction box replaced or have your factory one reprogrammed
