Looking at wire diagram, I think both terminals at the plate light connector would read as grounds. The black lead actually to the ground. The brown lead, which should have the power, is grounded thru the parking light and the other plate light. I assume if I check the ohms, the, the black should have almost no resistance as it is the actual ground and the brown should have some from the bulbs the ground is passing thru.
Front parking lights work.
From diagram, it looks like one wire comes out of switch, and splits to go to front and rear. If true, then switch is good, and I have a break in the power line feeding the rear. If true, and switch was bad, then I should have no parking lights front or rear.

Update on parking lights. Actually none are working. No rear, no front, no dash.
Must have been the sun hitting the front the other day.
Leads me to switch relay, or fuse.
Haynes has fuse as 3 in diagram, but dose not match truck.

YEAAAAAA!!!
Tracked down blown fuse under hood.
Parking lifts working. I'm guessing I crossed the plate lights, as they were the first I messed with, and had old splices that failed. I'm guessing while putting them back together, I grounded out the feed.
But I can't find this fuse listed anywhere. Found a just ask web page saying to check 11 fuse under the hood but the one popped was not 11 counting any way I could see.
BUT FIXED. JUST NEED TO PUT BUMPER AND HITCH BACK ON AND SHOULD FINALLY HAVE TIRE CARRIER DONE!
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.

And oh yea, a comment for Mike rider's first comment about a silly question.
I was getting ready to remove the bed again, and start tearing into wiring I might have damaged. I stopped, walked a way to settle down and read some, and found the blown fuse.
I have done, and will again I'm sure do "silly" (self confirmed "stupid") things to fix stuff. Part of the human process. I accept it. So I always ask basic questions, and please continue to. Some may get insulted, but not me, as I know what I'm capable of. Good and bad.😉
Thanks again.

Re: spare tire carrier
Just got back from vacation. Didn't have access to a puter as my FIL doesn't even have cable. Amish country in PA.
Seen the pic of your frame crack/rusted area, was wonderin what you decided to do to fix and if you had any pics?
I've done the ENJOYABLE job of drillin out all 16 rivets on a past build that got scrapped. So was just curious as to your outcome.
Thanks for the write up and GOOD JOB!

My parts truck was solid, so I pulled the frame and mid cross member off it. (Second set of 16 rivets, joy) and put that on.
Went with bolts. I have no large rivet experiencse. Ground off most of the rivet heads, but then realized sawsalling the heads off was easier and then grinding the surface smooth, heating it up with my map lil tourch and punching them out.
Got 1/2" bolts, drilled out the holes with a 1/2" bit as the holes were less than 1/2", bolted it in and tightened the crap out of it.
Drive it for the first time today, and very nice.
Thanks again.

So went to get my inspection thinking I'm good, and found the parking brake cables frozen, replaced them bu 2 years ago, and passenger upper ball joint was very bad. Replaced that last year.
So warranty from Autozone on ball joint, 2 new brake cables, another 8 hours on the truck, and I have a solid truck with a valid inspection sticker.
Yea.

Trying to start new thread, but can't find how to.
It's for my fuel pressure. Drops quick when key is off, and think it's the pressure regulator. But would like verification before swapping it out. Have one in the parts truck I am going to try.
Have a video, but can't attach that either.
HELP.
