And the time to do that is worth less than $400? Plus the cost of parts?
I was gonna let sleeping dogs lie, but that's dumb.
EDIT: Also running synthetics through a 270k truck is an awful idea given that it probably has been run with conventional for at least half it's life. Be leakin like it's rainin down there.

There is no way you made it off the short bus let alone became a machinist with that kind of attitude/mentality.

That doesn't make sense at all, high mileage synthetic oil changes got me $25 for cheapo on sale out at autozone, advance, Napa or whatever, I did one this last weekend in 15 mins... at that mileage and clear abuse a rebuilt isn't worth it no matter how often it's done...

Its been over 70k miles since last changed. divided by 5k miles for an oil change gets me 14 oil changes. Multiply that by a very cheap $25 synthetic oil change gets me $350. This mofo is a time bomb anyway at 270k miles. My engine kit to rebuild it is $400 and some time. Why would i do an oil change? Yall are dumb for wasting money on some worn out junk. Ill ride it to the ground, then rebuild it and after that ill do regular oil changes.

Re: 3.0 vs. 4.0
The only reason it's worn out junk is because you've gone 70k miles without changing the oil.

Bull shit. Seriously. You're winning the internet idiot award this week. No engine is doing 70k miles without an oil change. Like you actually think a single person here believes that?
Go make a vid of you pulling the dipstick in the next 15minutes or so. I bet there's oil on the dip stick and that right there means it has in one way or another been changed. The oil would have broken down and evaporated long ago. So even if you haven't done a standard oil change you have topped it up, more then once and that is still changing the oil.
