I have a 2008 Xtra cab with 4 doors and power door locks. my door cylinders are getting harder to turn and unlock. Frequently my doors cylinders need several/many attempts while fiddling with the key to turn the cylinder. I think I need 2 new door lock cylinders and a ignition cylinder all keyed the same. That's my problem. I need direction for purchase an expertise in installation. Should I buy Motorcraft locks? Are there better option? Do I need to remove the interior door panel to connect the power since I have power door locks? Any help would be appreciated as the non functioning cylinders left my wife stranded outside the car which caused me a fair bit stress.

While grocery shopping yesterday I noticed a locksmith kiosk in the parking lot. So I waked over looking for answers. After determining I had a chipped key and presenting me with options and cost the locksmith lubricated the door lock told me to swap my key with the wife's (less wear) and presto change....Problem gone. I don't expect this repair to last forever but its working well now.

^^^^ Probably hadn't seen any routine maintenance since 2008. It's always smart to squirt a little Lock Ease into the locks and work them a few times a year as part of a preventative maintenance plan.
