Default Is this a good deal??

I need to buy a Ranger to use for work and came across this, it seems like a good deal...

http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5966991437.html

I also saw this and it's older and higher mileage, but a lot cheaper plus it's an extended cab.....

What do you guys think

Lot of miles for 2008 and price seems inline. Plus they will go 250+ miles and lastly it's all set up for work. Looks like base model.
The 1994 will not have OBD-2 interface making it a bit harder to keep the truck happy

Biggest problem I see on that 94 is the rust. Looks like a pile of shit to me. The rust has eaten right through the rear bumper, I wouldn't think that 2008 has nearly as much rust as the 94. He said he already replaced some body bushings so the rust has probably torn apart the frame around that area.

That 2008 is a pretty damn good price too. Dealerships would sell one exactly like it for 9,000. And it's newer and would need much less to maintain. Those 2.3 Duratec motors are peppy and they are tough little suckers.

And I'd love to snag those ladders. Money doesn't grow on trees.

I'd take the 2008. Price isn't very far off, it's a hell of a lot newer, less rust, much more reliable, comes with a cap and ladders.

If you don't want the cap and ladder from the 2008, you can sell them and get some $ back in your pocket! they are worth at least a few hundred bucks.

I would buy the 2008 and keep an eye out at the local junk yards/craigslist part outs for cloth seats in good condition.
