Default 2.3 L 5 Speed 3.73 Gear ... Highway Question

What RPM should I expect highway cruising with the 3.73 gear and the 2.3 4 cyl 2011 Ranger? Interested in buying one of these for gas mileage and utility purposes. How loud can it get in the cabin and how is it for longer drives? Non XLT version.

Here ya go:

...just need to know your tire height and transmission final drive gear ratio.

On my 5spd manual the OD gear is 0.79

My 2003 is not incredibly loud in the cabin but it's not whisper quiet either. It's kind of hard to say without using a decibel meter.
As far as long trips, I wouldn't want to take mine on anything longer than a couple hundred miles. But then again I am biased since
I also have an old Lexus and my wife has a new Kia Minivan.

Thank you for the link.

27" wheel, 3.73 gear and 0.79 final drive on the 5 speed so 2384 RPM at 65 MPH.

Thanks for the info on the cabin,
I currently have a 10 year old 3 valve mustang mostly stock but with 4.10 gear, it has gotten louder as its gotten older and it has gotten to the point that it drives me crazy. I don't mind loud cars but this is a bit much if I have to go more than 10 miles of highway. The lack of utility, the bad gas mileage, and the overall unwanted attention it gets me is why I am thinking about getting rid of it for a ranger, as I have always wanted one for the convenience. I can probably get rid of the mustang for 9-10 grand and grab a 2011 ranger for about 9-10.

apology for ninja edit

Oh yeah, then a 2011 Ranger should be pretty nice inside for a long drive as compared to the Mustang. Heck, you could even line the interior with some cheap sound dampener sheets and make it much quieter on the inside.

I have the base model with the rubber floor and it's a little loud inside. Roughly 2500 RPM if I do 110, which is the highest speed limit I've seen.

Unless you're unusually sensitive to noise you should be able to handle it. Interior carpet would probably help some too.

I made a long road trip (about 8000km in 10 days) last fall and it was only mildly annoying - but that was on very rough old pavement. Cruising down an Interstate I'd say it's fine.

Despite the leaky window seals my truck is really quiet on the highway. Maybe 2700 rpm at the most. According to the OBD2 port 26mpg

Drive my 2011 back and forth to Gulf Shores at high speed. Little wind noise that's all.
